Crofter (Breakfast Tea)

(24 customer reviews)

A delicious breakfast tea that works anytime of day!

62 in stock

Crofter Breakfast Tea was inspired by a little grey fergie. The little grey fergie has lived on the Tiree Tea croft since she was born in 1947. She is still a working tractor.

Like the fergie, Crofter Breakfast Tea is a versatile blend equally suited to breakfast, a flask on the go or, (in true Tiree style) accompanied by a couple of biscuits after an already large meal. Leaving it in a teapot on the stove to stew for a couple of hours is traditional, but entirely optional.

Hints of: baler-twine and marauding livestock

Net wieght: 60g

Ingredients: Indian Assam Black Tea, Kenyan Black Tea, Sri Lankan Black Tea.

Just as lovely with or without milk! Rivals the major brands – in fact I thought there was more tea in the bag than with the big brands?

The tea was braw. Nice blend. In a spirit of positive feedback, and I hope not in the spirit of a ‘blow-in’ I’d suggest you move from the plastic tea bag to some kind of compostable containers for the leaf tea. I realise this could be tricky on the island but if your tea-bags are being made off island then it should be possible. If you mentioned this in your marketing materials, I think it would help your sales. HTH

Hi Wylie! Thanks so much for your feedback! The tea bags themselves are in fact plastic free and 100% biodegradable – it sounds like I could definitely do a better job of highlighting that! From the next production run, the pouches will be degradable within 12-24 months in the general waste stream. Glad you enjoyed the tea 🙂
